Inspired by Philadelphia, Giant recently partnered with design firm, Chute Gerdeman, (www.chutegerdeman.com), to create a space that inspires the shopper, offers a unique urban food experience, and celebrates the community of brotherly love.
The new 65,000 sq ft. Riverwalk location has destinations throughout the store that are modern, and curated.
The first destination shoppers are greeted with is the lobby. A blend of natural light, wood materials and custom light fixtures bring this area to life. The main floor is home to “Giant Direct”, where guests can pick-up groceries, order items, or simply grab a cup of coffee quickly, all in one stop.
On the second floor guests are introduced to The Garden, a department devoted to fresh produce and plant-based products. This space offers over 600 variations of fresh produce, with most of it locally sourced. At the heart of Riverwalk is a first-of-its-kind food hall, The Kitchen. The food hall is paired with the “Beer Garten”, a self-serve tap wall where shoppers can take their pick of over 40 craft beers, seltzers, and wine.
